Lead (Growth, Innovation & Venturing Engagement Manager)

Role Description

You will be leading teams of 2-5 consultants (and possibly inclusive of business partners) to help clients discover, shape and realise new growth ambitions. You will make valued contributions to analysis, insights and choices, while being responsible for day-to-day team management, guidance and development, taking overall ownership of the engagement deliverable. You will be working directly with client as well as senior Cadena leadership. You will have the opportunity to grow your leadership, inspiration and relationship skills. You will mostly work as part of a close team, but will also need to demonstrate ability to work independently with limited direction. Strong conceptual, analytical and creative skills combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills will position you best for impact and success. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the role is expected to be delivered almost entirely remotely in near term and as such your location is not of major importance, although there would certainly be preference for shared time zone to team and client (GMT+2, South Africa). Do note that post pandemic there would be preference for South African based team members especially for permanent roles.

Requirements:

Bachelor degree with robust academic record, advanced degree or MBA preferred

Solid functional knowledge including but not limited to strategy and project management. Experience in innovation, digital transformation and venturing would be advantageous

Multi-industry experience preferred as well as any of agriculture, chemicals, energy, financial services, food, healthcare, manufacturing, media, pharma and technology would be beneficial

7+ years business experience, minimum 2 years management consulting experience

Outstanding analytical and quantitative problem solving skills

Demonstrated leadership ability within team environment and well as ability to work with people across organisational levels

Action orientated, eager to create opportunities for others, resilient and willing to take personal risks

Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively

Proficient in written and spoken English

Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Executive Lead (Growth, Innovation & Venturing Senior Engagement Manager)

Role Description

You will be leading multiple teams of 2-5 consultants each or single larger teams on complex problems (and in both cases possibly inclusive of business partners) to help clients discover, shape and realise new growth ambitions. You will make valued strategic contributions to analysis, insights and choices, while being responsible for team management, guidance and development, taking overall ownership of the engagement deliverables. In addition, you will have a key role to play in nurturing and retaining key client relationships as a trusted business advisor and to actively drive business development opportunities. You will be working directly with senior clients as well as senior Cadena leadership. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership, inspiration and relationship skills. Much of your time will be spent working closely with teams but you will also need to demonstrate ability to work independently, take initiative and drive outcomes. Strong conceptual, analytical and creative skills combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills will position you best for impact and success. Senior Associate (Growth, Innovation & Venturing Senior Consultant)

Role Description

You will be working in teams of 2-5 consultants (and possibly inclusive of business partners) across all aspects of a client engagement. This will include sourcing and analysis of information, formulation and testing of hypotheses, developing and communicating recommendations. In collaboration with your fellow team members, you will have the opportunity to present your recommendations to client leadership. You will receive training, coaching and mentorship from colleagues on your team, this includes senior Cadena leadership and engagement managers. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the role is expected to be delivered almost entirely remotely in near term and as such your location is not of major importance, although there would certainly be preference for shared time zone to team and client (GMT+2, South Africa). Do note that post pandemic there would be preference for South African based team members especially for permanent roles.
